When people think of unique wedding favors, often they think of store-bought items or customized products that need personalized engraving as wedding giveaways. But fortunately it is possible to make unique wedding favors yourself that can act as wedding giveaways. You just need to possess a certain degree of artistic talent, patience, enough time to make the unique wedding favors long before the wedding is to happen, and knowledge of what your guests would like. Unique wedding favors need not be very expensive to matter to your guests. The clich goes: It is the Thought That Counts. But actually, that is quite true, it is not the amount of money you spent on the unique wedding favors that should matter to your guests but the tender loving care you put into making these favors that they should take into account.

One type of cheap yet unique wedding favors is a beaded bracelet with charms and pendants attached to them. You can buy individual beads in various colors and hues, with varying textures and sizes as well then purchase a sturdy string or durable and flexible wire that you can use for linking the beads together. The charms can be alternated with the beads, and the same goes for the pendants, to make a unique bracelet design that you alone know how to make. If you have enough time on your hands to do lots of these bracelets, this is a nice crafts project you could undertake in your leisure time. A side benefit is that it is a good form of anti-stress therapy too.  You can even recruit other family members to help you in making these unique wedding favors or groomsmen gifts so that the production process speeds up and you do not get strapped for time as the wedding date approaches fast. Even the groom may be able to lend a helping hand since this is a very simple project that everyone will enjoy participating in.

Another easy project is to go along the seashore and pick up attractive looking shells. Buy a good brand of glue and look for someone who sells generic picture frames (an earth-tone background color will usually complement the colors of seashells.) You may then glue the shells to the front of frame, in a pattern that will look really good when you insert a picture so that it will be framed on all sides by the seashells. If you and your groom have very good pictures taken together beforehand, you could include these with the newly-decorated picture frames. Voila! Cheap yet unique wedding favors have been created that all your guests can use and re-use over and over again.

It is also possible to buy generic tote bags made of earth-tone or even rustic materials like abaca. You can then jazz up these tote bags with your own design, adding accessories like bows and ribbons using a glue gun. You may even put a picture of you and your spouse on one side of the tote bag, create a cloth frame that will frame the picture, and stitch or glue this frame onto the surface of the tote bag. This way, you and your spouse have created unique wedding favors and various wedding accessories that will always remind the recipients of your presence in their lives.  Of course, if you want to really spend on more expensive and custom-made unique wedding favors, that is also an option. But for those who want to save money while making very unique wedding favors they can be proud of, projects like these really fit the bill then.
